major motorway used by 75,000 drivers and road users will SHUT - with motorists warned. The A1(M) at Letchworth Gate Interchange between entry and exit slips at junction 9 will be closed for
over six weeks, it has been warned. There will also be closures manhole repairs taking place over night on the A1(M) Northbound J6 carriageway. Until Friday March 14, there will be closures
on the A1(M) at Letchworth Gate Interchange between entry and exit slips at junction 9. It will be shut down from 9pm to 5am, on weeknights only. National Highways warned: "We need to

'WITHIN NEXT 48 HOURS' It explained the closures from Monday 20 January to Friday 14 March 2025, adding: "A1(M) at Letchworth Gate Interchange between entry and exit slips at
junction 9. Closed overnight weeknights only (9pm to 5am) weather permitting." If you're travelling on the A1(M), you'll be diverted through the up and over slip roads or back
onto the A1(M) in both directions. National Highways said: "Please remember that closures can change at short notice. You can check the latest information on our daily closures page or
find live travel information on our Traffic England. Our travel alerts give details of live incidents on our network." It comes as police were called to the A1(M) at around 1.18pm
yesterday. A multivehicle crash between J8 and J9 on the northbound carriageway saw one lane closed. A Hertfordshire Police spokesperson said: "Two vehicles, a silver Hyundai and a BMW,
were involved. "No injuries were reported that required hospital treatment." No one was taken to hospital with injuries following the collision. "Police were called at
1.18pm, following reports of a road traffic collision between Junction 8 and 9 on the northbound carriageway of the A1(M)," a Herts police spokesperson said. Article continues below
"Officers attended, alongside colleagues from the ambulance service. Two vehicles, a silver Hyundai and a BMW, were involved. No injuries were reported that required hospital
treatment."
