BANK ACCOUNT DEALS CAN BE A QUICK WAY OF GETTING A CASH BOOST 10:49, 30 May 2025Updated 10:52, 30 May 2025 Santander is offering people a free £180 and finance experts have set out all the
rules that apply, saying 'it's automatic and easy.' Bank account switching deals can be a quick way of getting a cash boost to help with household living costs, especially if
you feel you aren't seeing much reward from your current provider or have experienced poor service. Various high-street banks offer promotions throughout the year to attract new
customers, and this newest one is from Santander. READ MORE: Alastair Douglas, TotallyMoney CEO, explained the rules for the Santander deal and whether it's worth trying. Article

deposit at least £1,500 within 60 days of making the switch, set up at least two active household direct debits, and have not had a Santander account on January 1st of this year. "With
the Everyday Current Account, there are no monthly fees, and you can use the card to withdraw cash fee-free when abroad, making it a good choice if you're going on holiday this summer.
If you're considering the Edge or Edge Up accounts, watch out for the fees as they can quickly add up, and you'll also need to make minimum monthly deposits." Mr Douglas says
that if you find you don't qualify for the Santander deal, there may still be other offers to explore. He explained: "If you're not eligible for the Santander account and are
willing to switch, then there are other options for you. Nationwide has just launched a £200 incentive for existing customers, First Direct and Co-op Bank are offering up to £175, and TSB is
offering £310 in cash, cashback, and vouchers. "Just remember that loyalty doesn't pay, but switching who you bank with can. The process is automatic and easy, with almost all
switches completed within a week, and 9 in 10 customers are left feeling satisfied with the process. Article continues below "The banks will move your direct debits and close your old
account automatically. So don't be put off if you’re not happy with your current bank, or if you'd take advantage of the cash bonus on offer." Join our dedicated
