rising to 31C thanks to a Spanish Scorcher. The heatwave from the European Union looks set to sizzle the country, with the mercury rising up above 31C in a dramatic shift. It marks the
hottest day of the year so far - and probably the warmest since August. Maps and charts showing the radar shows a red, black and deep amber engulfing the country, measuring as high as 31C.
The BBC Weather has forecast that temperatures will reach 27C by next Wednesday, while other meteorologists predict highs of 31C. The exact date the warm weather kicks off around June 12,

spells and showers across Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England. Drier in the south, although turning cloudier with a few scattered showers by the afternoon. Breezy." The
outlook for Thursday to Saturday, spanning June 5 and June 7, said: " Cool, largely cloudy and breezy over the next few days, with showers or longer spells of rain. Prolonged spells of
heavy rain are likely across the south at times." Article continues below Tomorrow, cloud will develop for most, and there will be scattered showers in the north and the west, these
blustery in Scotland. Staying mostly dry with the odd shower in the east. On Thursday, scattered showers are expected across the north, whilst the south becomes wet with outbreaks of rain

Manchester and Hampshire are also set to roast alongside Herefordshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Lancashire and Leicestershire. Lincolnshire., Greater London and Merseyside complete the list -
as well as Norfolk, Yorkshire, Northamptonshire, Northumberland, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Rutland, Shropshire and Somerset. South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Suffolk, Surrey,
Warwickshire, the West Midlands and West Sussex will also benefit alongside West Yorkshire, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire.
