judge as he showed up to a court hearing via video link without wearing trousers at A Midland court.

Initially out of the camera's frame after being connected by the clerk, all that was visible was a chaotic bedroom and disruptive noises infiltrating the courtroom's audio.

Recorder Julian Taylor visibly lost patience as he queried "Where is he?" followed by the clerk enquiring, "Can you see and hear the court?".
Abruptly, the lawyer appeared from the screen's left side.

An unimpressed Recorder Taylor openly criticised both the lawyer's attire and unkempt bedroom backdrop.
Censuring the barrister, he remarked: "It looks like you're not properly dressed.
"The bedroom looks most unsatisfactory. These hearings, when conducted remotely, should be treated as though they are in court."
Condemning the lack of formality, he added: "I'm not impressed with you appearing in a state of undress."
Stressing the importance of decorum, he continued, "You should be properly dressed for these hearings. The background doesn't fill me with satisfaction. You should appear in the correct
manner."

He explained that the delayed calling of the case was due to WiFi issues, remarking, "I've been on the link for over an hour. I apologise unreservedly."
Once the barrister exited the court's video link, Recorder Taylor was left to comment with a single word: "Unbelievable."
