this weekend as the temperature climbs above 20C bringing a taste of summer to the city.


Birmingham will hit a high of 22C this weekend and Brummies can expect warm temperatures and sunny spells from Friday, ahead of an even hotter day on Saturday.


‌ Birmingham will be basking in the heat on Saturday, in stark contrast to northern parts of Spain including San Sebastián, which will be cloudy, overcast and have highs of 20C on Saturday.

Temperatures will climb from Friday May 30 in Birmingham, which will see sunny intervals in the morning and a high of 20C.


Article continues below On Friday's forecast for Birmingham, the Met Office said: "Mainly cloudy with a few outbreaks of rain, interspersed with some brighter breaks too.


"Breezy, especially in the showers, but feeling warm in any sunshine. Maximum temperature 20C."


Temperatures will then heat up into Saturday May 31, with it reaching 17C from 10am, jumping to 20C and higher as the day goes on.


‌ Met Office experts added that the weekend in Birmingham will be "feeling warm, especially on Saturday."


There will be some cloudy periods on Sunday but plenty of dry periods too with bright or sunny spells across the weekend.


Saturday in Birmingham will see highs of 22C, and Sunday will see highs of 19C.


Article continues below The good news is that despite temperatures dropping slightly from Monday, the start of the week will continue to feel warm with temperatures of 17C and 18C.


The stat of the week will see some cloudy periods, which will change to sunny intervals in the afternoon.
