Trouble sparked in a Birmingham street led to gunshots being fired in the early hours with three people arrested. The incident took place in Kenrick Croft in Castle Vale at around 2am on


Sunday (June 1). Police described a ‘melee’ in the street involving a group of people. Residents reported loud bangs with one saying it sounded like an ‘exhaust pipe backfiring’ and another

responded to the incident no one was around. And they have had no reports of anyone suffering from gun shot injuries but three people have been arrested. They are a 40-year-old man and

responsibility.” A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “We're investigating after disorder where gunshots were fired in Kenrick Croft, Castle Vale, at around 2am yesterday (1


June). “It's understood a group were involved in a melee but no-one was present when officers arrived. “At this stage, no-one is understood to have sustained gunshot injuries.

40-year-old man and 41-year-old woman have been detained on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of a firearm. They're currently in custody for questioning. “Another man, aged
