HALIFAX WILL CLOSE A TOTAL OF NINE BANK BRANCHES BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK, AS PART OF THE BANK'S ONGOING REVIEW OF ITS BRANCH NETWORK. HERE'S THE FULL LIST OF CLOSURES 17:37, 31 May
2025 Halifax is set to close nine more bank branches by the conclusion of next week, signalling a continuation of its ongoing branch network evaluation. The upcoming series of closures,
which will transpire between June 2 and June 5, includes the first three this month: Felixstowe, Gainsborough, and Kingsbury schedueld to shut on Monday, June 2. Further down the line in
June, five additional branches are anticipated to cease operations, and more nationwide closures are expected in the weeks ahead. This wave of closures reflects an industry-wide pattern,
with a banking populace increasingly gravitating towards digital platforms for their financial transactions. Noticing a persistent drop in branch visits, Halifax, under the wing of Lloyds
Banking Group, has acknowledged this shift in customer behaviour. Early in 2025, the group declared an agenda to phase out 136 outlets within its umbrella by March 2026, inclusive of 61
Halifax sites. A company spokesperson commented: "Over 20 million customers are using our apps for on-demand access to their money, and customers have more choice and flexibility than
ever for their day-to-day banking.", reports the Express. Article continues below The representative further mentioned alternative services available: "Alongside our apps,
customers can also use telephone banking, visit a community banker or use any Halifax, Lloyds or Bank of Scotland branch, giving access to many more branches." Additionally, the
spokesperson highlighted: "Customers can also do their everyday banking at over 11,000 branches of the Post Office or in a Banking Hub." Here is the complete list of the nine
Halifax bank branches that will be closing next week: Felixstowe - June 2, Gainsborough - June 2, Kingsbury - June 2, Horsforth - June 3, Launceston - June 3, Letchworth - June 3,
