issued a warning to anyone visiting stores - as it apologises and says: "Sorry". Customers are unable to make purchases using contactless payment methods—a service that has become
a standard and expected convenience in retail. In addition to this, the company is also facing problems with its click-and-collect system, meaning that shoppers who placed online orders for
in-store pickup are now unable to collect their items as scheduled. These disruptions have affected several of the retailer’s stores nationwide, causing widespread inconvenience to

dissatisfaction and share their experiences, with many expressing confusion and disappointment over the lack of communication from the company during the early stages of the issue. Article

took to Twitter, now X, to fume. Another said: "If just contactless was down how long does it take to key in four numbers? Some folk just live to complain." Another fumed: "It
was the tapping of the cards that wasn't working! All you had to do was put your card in the card machine. Lo and behold, that worked." And another asked: "hello, we were in
store earlier and couldn’t use gift cards or contactless to pay. Has this now be resolved?" Another commented: "Popped into the Harrow store today to collect food some items after
the gym, so didn’t have my physical bank card with me … "You know what I am going to say, but your contactless systems and also collection kiosks have been out of service for at least
48hrs now .. had the same issue on Saturday at a store in central London." A spokesperson for Marks and Spencer or M&S said: "Our stores are open today but we are experiencing
some technical issues meaning that we cannot accept contactless payments or process click and collect orders. "We are really sorry for any inconvenience and hope to resolve these issues
