LG Electronics is set to enable their Smart TV’s so that users can make purchases directly via their TV. The Korean Company has cut a deal with Paymentwall so that developers can create apps

that enable LG webOS Smart TVs to support scores of different online payment methods. The service is set to be available in Australia next year if local management decide to adopt the

system. The Company claims that LG’s global Paymentwall alliance, is bringing more than 140 payment options to more than 200 countries, and that it will give consumers easier access to paid

apps, movies, games and more through their webOS Smart TV platform. By clicking the Buy Now button and entering a credit or debit card number, owners of LG Smart TVs with webOS will be able

to conduct two-step online purchases all over the world without having to sign in separately. LG webOS Smart TV owners will also get support for payment via desktops, laptops, tablets or

mobile devices using QR codes and other secure verification protocols. The webOS 3.0 platform is compatible with 4K Ultra HD and high-dynamic range (HDR) programming. Brian Kwon, president

and CEO of the LG Home Entertainment Company, said, “By collaborating with Paymentwall, we’re able to evolve the smart TV purchasing experience on the LG webOS platform much faster than if

we had done it alone”. About Post Author David Richards David Richards has been writing about technology for more than 30 years. A former Fleet Street journalist, he wrote the Award Winning
