A PUB ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF NEWCASTLE WILL SHUT DOWN NEXT MONTH FOR A MAJOR MAKEOVER WHICH WILL SEE IT TRANSFORMED FOR SUMMER 12:59, 29 May 2025 A pub on the outskirts of Newcastle with
'lots of character' and plenty of regulars will close its door next month to allow a major makeover to take place. And the transformation will be the result of a sic figure
investment in the building to give it a brand new look for summer. A well known boozer around 5 miles outside of Newcastle city centre in West Denton, The Peregrine, instantly identifiable
for the statue of a falcon outside its doors, has been part of the local community for decades but those who frequent it on a regular basis, will soon notice a big difference, with its
interior set to be changed extensively. Situated on Hillhead Road, the Hungry Horse pub will be temporarily closed to the public from June 2 whilst the investment takes place, with the
upgraded venue set to reopen its doors towards the end of the month. A spokesperson for Hungry Horse told CHRONICLELIVE that works will include a full transformation of the restaurant area
with improved seating to ensure the highest level of comfort for guests, as well as the installation of a self-service coffee machine for customers to enjoy throughout the day. The Peregrine
is enhancing its dining experience with the return of its breakfast menu, providing a wide range of delicious menu items including Steak and Eggs, a Breakfast Wrap and Waffles Benedict that
perfectly cater to guests of all tastes. The pub will receive significant enhancements to its exterior space, with the outdoor area being refreshed with new garden furniture to provide the
perfect spot for friends and families to relax in the sunshine over the summer months. The Peregrine’s toilets will also undergo major improvements to ensure a more modern look and feel.

Peregrine currently has a rating of 4.7 out of 5 on Trip Advisor, with a number of views mentioning it's 'brilliant atmosphere'. One satisfied customer writes: 'Great
atmosphere, good drinks, and even better service. Had a great time at the peregrine the other night—it's got a cozy vibe and a solid selection of drinks' A big favourite with
Newcastle United fans, The Peregrine has also been championed as 'the best place' to go and watch Magpies games. And it also received plenty of praise for its Christmas decorations
last year.
