A BEACH IN NORTHUMBERLAND IN A TOWN NAMED THE CHEAPEST TO LIVE IN THE UK IS HOME TO THE REGION'S LONGEST PROMENADE 12:22, 29 May 2025Updated 17:21, 29 May 2025 It's located in a

town that has just been named the 'cheapest' seaside location live in the UK and a beach in Northumberland can also boast some pretty spectacular views. And it also holds the

honour of having the longest promenade anywhere in the region. Here at CHRONICLELIVE we are fully aware of just how stunning Northumberland is, so much so that we like to write about it on a

daily basis, but away from the likes of Bamburgh, with its amazing castle and gorgeous beach, Alnwick and its equally as striking castle, cobbled streets and famous book store and Berwick

and it's title of being the 'happiest place to live in the UK is another town that has also been getting some attention of late. Step into the spotlight Newbiggin-by-the-Sea,

year was a very reasonable £132,863. And, if you do choose to up sticks and move to Newbiggin, you can look forward to walks along its brilliant promenade, which stretches further than any

other in Northumberland and is also a great vantage point to enjoy what have been described as 'spectacular' views of the beach and sea, including the sight of off shore sculpture.

A permanent piece of art from Sean Henry, The Couples sees the statues of a man and woman stood looking out from Church Point towards the North Sea. Newbiggin Beach has gathered plenty of

reviews on Trip Advisor, with adjectives used to describe it including 'tranquil, peaceful and relaxing,' while one reviewer writes: 'Love this stretch of beach, such a hidden

gem & no where near as busy as Tynemouth, Druridge or Bambrugh.' Another favourable review of the beach reads: 'When people think of Northumberland there are so many famous

beaches that come to mind, there are some real gems though of lesser known beaches and this is one of them..' Article continues below JOIN OUR WHATSAPP COMMUNITIES ChronicleLive is now
