Dallas Mavericks owner and entrepreneur Mark Cuban knows a thing or two about insider-trading scrutiny, and he took to Twitter on Monday to slam the media's treatment of Phil Mickelson.
Cuban was responding to the controversy around golfer Mickelson, who was implicated late Friday night in an ongoing investigation into insider trading in Clorox and Dean Foods.
Cuban himself was acquitted of similar charges last October, after a process that took years.
UPDATE: Cuban took to Twitter again Monday afternoon to respond to CNBC's story about his tweets.
Disclosure: Mark Cuban is a host of "Shark Tank," which is broadcast on CNBC.
