BORDEAUX AIRPORT SEEMS TO HAVE FORGOTTEN THE PASSENGERS WITH ITS RECENT CHANGES. BORDEAUX Airport seems to have forgotten the passengers with its recent changes. After walking a long way
from the setting-down points with luggage, pushchairs etc. in the open air – not nice when raining – passengers are herded into metal sheds with minimal facilities (and no toilets).
Passengers must carry their luggage, queue, lift and scan everything, then put it through for loading. The departure lounge has minimal seating; people have to stand for long periods, then
scrabble for seats, the elderly, infirm and families with small children included. There are no toilets, seating or facilities for anyone at the boarding gate, where we stood for a further
45 minutes. At least 10 friends and family say they will never use the airport again. And you can add numerous complaints from others who will not fly from there again. What a wonderful way
to treat visitors bringing much-needed revenue. ELAINE O’MAHONEY BONNES
