Police have taken action after a bus was damaged in Coventry. It comes as officers pledge to tackle antisocial behaviour on public transport in Tile Hill. Officers have recently shared the
crackdown online, after concerns were raised by residents and local councillors. Part of the scheme, which sees police working as part of Safer Travel West Midlands - a multi-organisational
partnership - saw an individual penalised for criminal damage. The neighbourhood police team for Woodlands, Wainbody, Westwood and Whoberley, the ward which covers Tile Hill, share a list of

People" is highlighted as a priority stemming "from concerns raised by residents and Ward Councillors". Under actions, the page states: "The team have been working with
Safer Travel West Midlands to patrol local bus stops and bus routes as well as Tile Hill Train Station and Canley Train Station. We identified an individual responsible for criminal damage
to a bus at Jardine Crescent and have taken appropriate action. "As a result there has been a fall in antisocial behaviour (ASB) reports. If have information about crime or ASB please
contact West Midlands Police." CoventryLive has approached councillors in the ward for a comment. Regarding Safer Travel for West Midlands, Transport for West Midlands states on its
website: “We want to make sure public transport in the West Midlands is safe. The Safer Travel Partnership helps us do this. It is a partnership between: West Midlands Police, British
Transport Police, Transport for West Midlands. "Our transport network is one of the safest in the UK. Almost all types of crime have reduced every year since 2008. The Safer Travel
Partnership has a team of police officers who patrol the network, a control room with access to 1,000 CCTV cameras. We monitor the CCTV cameras 24 hours a day. This helps us spot incidents
at bus stops, tram stops and rail stations. "The Safer Travel Partnership has a passenger code of conduct. This is for people travelling in the West Midlands. We promote the code of
conduct in schools and colleges. The partnership also helps people to improve safety for bikes. It offers bike marking sessions and discounted D-locks at our travel centres. "People can
report anti-social behaviour through the ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaign. The Safer Travel Partnership investigates reports. Find out more about reporting anti-social
behaviour."
