CALDON FOR MAILONLINE Published: 05:41 EDT, 12 June 2020 | Updated: 10:38 EDT, 12 June 2020 Tyson Fury's dad, John Fury, has claimed he is in better physical condition than Mike Tyson
and reiterated plans to fight the former world heavyweight champion. Iron Mike has revealed he hopes to return to the ring for an exhibition fight in aid of charity, captivating fans with
clips of himself ferociously hitting the pads. But despite looking 'as fat as a pig', John Fury believes he can beat Tyson, insisting he has maintained a 'cleaner
lifestyle' than the 53-year-old American. Speaking on What Went Down, Fury told BT Sport: ‘Listen, I’d like to have a go. You know, at the end of the day, I named my son after him, it
would be a good thing. ‘But I know one thing, he’ll be in no better shape than me. Because I tell you what it is, I’ve got the edge in shape because I’ve lived better, I’ve lived cleaner.
‘Tyson, yeah, he was a great, great champion, probably one of the best there’s ever been – and if anyone is going to come close to beating Tyson (Fury) in this era, that’s him. Mike Tyson
has got a better chance than Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua at 53 years old. ‘But listen I’d like to have a go me, because I’m big and strong and game and that’s all you need to be. He’s
past his best. And me, the edge I’ve got is I’ve lived right. I don’t drink, don’t smoke, I don’t do things I shouldn’t do and I train every day.' John Fury is a bare-knuckle fighter,
although he boxed professionally between 1987 and 1995, winning eight, losing four and drawing one of his 13 fights. Meanwhile Mike Tyson has been retired since his crushing defeat by Kevin
McBride in 2005. Nevertheless, Fury believes his boxing sons will bring him up to speed ahead of a potential exhibition match with Iron Mike. ‘Listen, we’re not body beautifuls,'
Fury added, 'I look as fat as a pig but I can run 10 miles – no problem, today. And I’m training all the time, and I’m fit and strong and game. And I’ve got a good heart! ‘So if he
knocks me out he knocks me out, but I’ll try and knock him out, let’s put it that way. I’ll give my all. I’ll do the very best I can. I won’t be afraid to get in the ring, I won’t be beat
before I’ve started. I’m going to give it my best shot. ‘I’m here, I’m 18 stone 7 pounds, I’m 55 years old but I’m in great shape. Don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t take nothing I shouldn’t
do and I eat very, very well. ‘Plus I’ve got him (Tyson Fury) to train me. I’ve got the best son in the world and if I start sparring with him, and big Shane and my Hughie and Tommy, I’ve
got a good chance of beating anybody with that kind of backing. With that kind of team, I’d get in with two Mike Tysons!’ Evander Holyfield is also in contention to take on Tyson, but a
deal for a third fight between the rival heavyweights has yet to be agreed. Tyson FuryMike Tyson
