apartment on the Lower East Side of Manhattan is available for rent at $2,000 a month. The listing on StreetEasy specifies that the place has one bedroom and one bathroom, and pictures show
the kitchen attached to the living room. Gaga, 34, reportedly paid $1,100 a month when she lived at this walk-up before she became a star with her 2008 album The Fame. In an interview with
Neil Strauss for his book Everyone Loves You When You're Dead she revealed she lived in drug-fueled squalor at that apartment. 'Sometimes it freaks me out - or I should say it
petrifies me - when I think about laying in my apartment with bed bugs and roaches on the floor and mirrors with cocaine everywhere, and no will or interest in doing anything but making
music and getting high,' she revealed in the book. She left the Lower East Side digs after she became a star and then in 2013 she moved into a $22,000 a month penthouse at 40 Central
Park South, per Curbed. Now she mainly lives on the West Coast with homes including what the New York Post reports is a $22.5 million Malibu mansion. The news about Gaga's old apartment
comes after her French bulldogs Koji and Gustav were returned to her following their abduction. In horrifying footage that went viral online, Gaga's dog walker Ryan Fischer screamed
for help and was shot by dognappers who made off with the pets. At the time of the robbery Ryan was walking not only Koji and Gustav but also Gaga's other dog Asia who managed to
escape. Ryan's family have said his 'doctors expect him to make a full recovery,' and the Mirror reports Gaga will pay his medical bills. After the robbery Gaga offered
$500,000 'no questions asked' for the return of her Koji and Gustav, in a move criticized by law enforcement experts who have pointed out that a financial incentive may inspire
copycat celebrity pet abductions. She got the dogs back after a Good Samaritan found them tied to a pole and brought them to the police, law enforcement insiders revealed to TMZ.
