that she hasn't found the 'right person' yet. The actress, 27, is set to make her TV return this week on BBC's The Syndicate as Georgina after she left Coronation Street
in 2019. According to the Mirror, Katie took part in a Q&A with fans on her Instagram where she revealed that she was '10,000% single' and that she doesn't trust dating
apps. The publication claims that the actress admitted that she is a 'simple girl' when it comes to dating and likes low-key walks and picnics. Katie is said to have penned:
'I haven't found the right person. And I don't see the point in wasting time with the wrong one.' The actress is set to join former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh and
Neil Morrissey in the fourth season of The Syndicate, which airs later this week. She played Sinead Tinker during her time on the cobbles, but left the soap in 2019 following a
heartbreaking cervical cancer storyline. Earlier this month, Katie admitted she questioned whether she was 'good enough' or 'cut out' for acting following her
Coronation Street departure. She said her decision to exit the soap after six years 'backfired' when her career stalled, but asserted she doesn't regret leaving. Reflecting
on the current drought in work opportunities due to the pandemic, she said to The Sun on Sunday: 'I put all my energy into the universe, expecting amazing big things, and then it all
backfired. 'It's disheartening, and over the past 12 months I've been very up and down.' Katie departed the cobbles after her character, Sinead Osbourne, died following
a battle with cervical cancer in 2019. Her heartbreaking final scenes aired in October, with fans left in tears as Sinead passed away, leaving husband Daniel devastated. She subsequently
landed a promising new role in The Syndicate on BBC One and was throwing herself into new auditions. However, with the coronavirus outbreak stagnating TV production, Katie admitted she has
struggled to remain upbeat about her future prospects. She added: 'I'm quite a positive person, I'm someone who tries to bring everybody up, but I have moments where
I'm like: 'What am I doing? Why have I chosen this career? Am I even good enough? Is it me? Am I just not cut out for this career?'' During the first nationwide lockdown
in March last year, Katie revealed she 'secretly enjoyed' being stuck at home, as she spent her time baking banana bread and indulging in new Netflix shows. But she quickly got
bored of being stuck indoors and began reflecting on her career decisions. With hindsight, she confirmed that she left Coronation Street at 'the worst time,' but on the flip
side, she said she would have 'regretted not leaving more than taking a chance'.
