(BTP) were called to Johnstone railway station at Thorn Brae around 5.30pm last night following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Officers, along with paramedics, raced to the incident


but the person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of the incident, ScotRail said all lines in the area were closed while emergency crews handled the situation. They


were later reopened with train services resuming. Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be compiled for the procurator fiscal. Article continues below A


spokesperson for the BTP said: “Officers were called to Johnstone railway station at around 5.30pm yesterday (February 3) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. “Paramedics also


attended, however, sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. “The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the procurator fiscal.” Article
