League campaign where his side finished just one place outside the relegation zone, the Celtic hero ended the campaign on a high by leading Spurs to glory in the Europa League final with a
1-0 win against Manchester United - their first piece of silverware in 17 years. The veteran boss came under scrutiny for telling the press throughout the season that he always wins
something in his second year, and the victory in Bilbao has not only ended the club's long wait for silverware but has also won them a spot in the revamped group stage of the Champions
League next season. However, according to The Telegraph, Postecoglou could still be shown the door, with chairman Daniel Levy and the rest of the board set to meet with the 59-year-old next
week to make a final decision on his future. It's described as 'D-Day' for the boss who is said to face the merciless threat of the sack despite delivering European gold.
After their Europa League triumph last over the Red Devils, Postecoglou insisted that he wants to continue in his role in North London as he believes the club are heading in the right
direction. Article continues below He said: "I’ve had such a laser focus on winning this. "Whatever happens, happens. "We are still building this team, it is still very young,
we need to add experience. "My thought process has been trying to build a team that can be successful for a long time, but I am manager, it is not in my hands but it doesn’t affect me,
if it did you would have seen it. "I want to stay. "I haven’t completed a job yet, but the moment I accepted the role I had one thing in my head and that was to win something, I
