prepared to drive up to 69 miles on average to find the perfect walk, research found. Two thirds of people quizzed said there’s nothing better in life than taking their furry friend
somewhere scenic. And the top spot to walk canines has been revealed as Ambleside in the Lake District. It was followed by the jaw-dropping landscape of Snowdonia in Wales along with
Hampshire’s the New Forest and Richmond Park in London. George Wallis, from motor firm Isuzu UK, which carried out the research, said: “It’s no surprise to us that nearly a third of Brits
are willing to drive almost 70 miles just to give their dogs the best walkies imaginable — we know our customers go the extra mile for their four-legged friends. “Whether it’s chasing views
in Ambleside, getting lost in Snowdonia, or lapping up the trails in Glencoe, the Isuzu D-Max is built for the kind of adventures dog owners dream of.” Hampstead Heath, the Brecon Beacons
National Park in Wales, Robin Hood’s home Sherwood Forest in Nottingham and Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland ranked highly in the poll too. The survey also found that for most people, the
perfect pooch walk has beautiful views followed by plenty of bins along the way and minimal traffic and noise. Article continues below Eight in ten agreed that walking their pet boosts their
mental health, while 76% admit they look forward to it all day. And the top reason for walking their dog was giving them time to relax followed by spending quality time with their
four-legged friend and having some peace and quiet. On average, Brits’ walk their dogs for just over an hour and 10 minutes a day, covering 17 miles in a week. Mr Wallis added: “With 84
percent of people saying dog walks boost their mental health and over half admitting it’s their main form of exercise, it’s clear the daily walks are vital. “That’s why we’ve kitted out the
