IT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE TO OWN AN XL BULLY DOG IN ENGLAND AND WALES WITHOUT A CERTIFICATE FOLLOWING A SPATE OF HORRIFIC ATTACKS ON THE PUBLIC, BUT THESE TWO DIDN'T SEEM TO LIVE UP TO
THE REPUTATION 11:55, 29 May 2025Updated 12:56, 29 May 2025 Video footage captured the moment two men brawled in a city centre street — while one of them clung to his two XL bully dogs. The
men can be seen scrapping in front of stunned shoppers in broad daylight outside Trinity shopping centre in Leeds, West Yorks. A clip captured by a passer-by shows a man in green appearing
to throw punches at the dog walker, who has two XL bullies on leads as he walks down the street. The stunned dog walker drops his leads and trades blows with the green-shirted man in the
middle of the road. Amazingly, his XL bully dogs appear to remain totally unfazed by the commotion and loyally chase their owner before he can pick up their leads again. A woman, dressed in
a black vest, coaxes the green-shirted man away from the scene, but he then turns round to get into an altercation with another man, knocking his hat off his head. Moments later, the
green-shirted man runs towards the two men he'd just fought with and throws a drinks can at them before once again walking off. Article continues below Wisdom Makubile, 36, caught the
incident on camera while he was out doing some shopping and he heard a commotion. He said: “I was walking back to my car when I saw some guy throwing punches at another man with two XL
bullies. It was so random, I just started filming.” The footage has now racked up almost four million views on Instagram, leaving viewers both baffled and amused as the dogs — banned by the
government in 2024 after a spate of fatal attacks — appeared so calm and placid throughout the fight. One viewer commented: “Might as well be walking a pair of cats, they’re so chill!”
Another added: “All I’m thinking about is how well-behaved those dogs are. The guy throwing punches is losing it, but the dogs are just strolling along like it’s a Sunday walk in the
park." A third joked: “The best bit is watching those dogs being so well-behaved,” while a fourth said: "They should give them a medal for their calmness!” Another social media wag
quipped: "Dogs be like 'nahhhh, if I look at someone wrong I'll be taken away, this is your fight'." Someone else joked: "Fancy having two dogs that would
rather pick up their own lead and leave you to handle yourself though." Article continues below The Daily Star has contacted West Yorkshire Police for comment. _FOR THE LATEST BREAKING
