Britain is suffering from a brutal high-street closure crisis that is sucking the lifeblood out of our retail hubs. Now, images sourced by on-the-ground Daily Star man Adam Cailler have

shown the sorry state of a restaurant once loved by families. TGI Fridays has been serving up American diner meals to Brits for decades, but now the chain is suffering through tough times,

with 1,000 jobs reported by the BBC being cut despite the emergence of a rescue deal from restaurant group D&D London. That deal is thought to be saving 2,400 jobs at 51 restaurants, but

35 other branches have bitten the dust. Among them is the store in Prestwich, Manchester, which Adam noticed had been unceremoniously closed, most of its fittings still in place yet

seemingly now only gathering dust. He said: "The place has clearly been abandoned without any notice to staff. It looks as if it's ready to open instantly. Cleaning equipment has

been left out, TGI 'to go' bags are still filled with merch, and balloons have been left out like a sad kid's party. It doesn't looks like TGI's owners are going to

bother clearing it out, as the tables are still set days after the closure was confirmed. "The saddest part is that the sacked staff didn't even bother putting closure notices up

properly, with most of them left dangling off the windows."
