EXCLUSIVE: ABI DRINKELL, 23, LOVES WEARING BIKINIS AND HAS BUILT UP A HUGE AUDIENCE ON TIKTOK WITH THOUSANDS OF SUPPORTIVE FANS FLOODING HER COMMENT SECTIONS EVERY DAY 09:00, 31 May
2025Updated 09:10, 31 May 2025 A plus size influencer has shared the secrets of loving your body whatever your size and embracing its scars, stretch marks and cellulite. Abi Drinkell, 23,
has built up a huge audience on TikTok with thousands of supportive fans flooding her comment sections every day. “I actually love showing off my stomach in a bikini, with its rolls and
stretch marks,” she says proudly. “It’s a real body, and a body that so many people have. I want to show people with bodies like or similar to mine that they’re beautiful and that they can
wear whatever style of swimsuit they want without feeling any shame.” Her body-loving confidence didn’t come overnight. In fact, Abi admits she used to lean toward one-piece swimsuits until
she realised she needed to accept her body exactly as it was. “There’s something so empowering about wearing a bikini and telling the world: yes, this is my body - and I love it,” she says.
“You don’t need a flat stomach or thigh gap to deserve swimwear that makes you feel incredible.” While trolls and stares still exist, Abi has mastered the art of tuning them out. “I pretend
they don’t exist,” she says with a laugh. Article continues below “I just go about my day, blissfully unaware. Sometimes, I even take a stare as an unspoken compliment!” She uses her TikTok
and Instagram to share affordable and fabulous plus-size finds from brands like SHEIN, Rosegal, Meet.Curve, and BERLOOK, one of her favourite sustainable options. But for women nervous to
show skin or unsure where to start, Abi’s advice is simple: start with what makes you feel comfortable and true to your personal style. “If your day-to-day look is vintage, find swimwear
that reflects that,” she says. “If you’re into cottagecore, go with that vibe. You don’t have to compromise your aesthetic just because you’re at the beach!” Abi, from Kettering,
Northamptonshire, also has advice if the idea of posting a bikini picture online feels scary. “Don’t dive in straight away. I started with swim dresses, then tankinis, then bikinis,” she
says. “Confidence grows over time - it’s like building a muscle. “I get so many DMs from people saying I helped them wear their first bikini, or that they finally bought a dress they’ve
always wanted but were too scared to wear. Article continues below "That’s what it’s all about, making people feel seen and worthy just as they are.” Abi has helped thousands and she
says she’s just getting started. “I love clothes, and I’ve always loved expressing myself through fashion, she says. “But doing it in a body like mine, and showing other girls that they can
too, that’s powerful. That’s purpose.”
