THE VIOLENT MURDER OF ROSS MONAGHAN AND EDDIE LYON JNR, BOTH OF WHOM HAVE LINKS TO THE SCOTTISH CRIMINAL UNDERWORLD, HAS TERRIFIED THE LOCAL COMMUNITY IN THE SPANISH CITY OF FUENGIROLA
NATALIA PENZA News Correspondent 21:29, 01 Jun 2025Updated 21:29, 01 Jun 2025 Witnesses relived their horror today after being caught up in the shooting of two Scottish men outside an Irish
bar in Fuengirola. The victims have been named by Scottish press as ‘Glasgow gangsters’ Eddie Lyons Jnr and Ross Monaghan, identified as the owner of Monaghans’s Fuengirola where last
night’s shooting occurred. Spanish police have not released the names and are not expected to do so. A local living near the scene told local paper Malaga Hoy this afternoon: “I thought they
were going to me kill me too. “I thought I was hearing fireworks at first but then saw the noise was coming from someone firing a gun.” A Chinese ex-pat who owns a shop next to the bar told
the paper: “It was about 11.30pm when I heard a noise coming from next door. “I looked out and saw a man pointing at something and shooting.” Article continues below Saying he saw other
customers run for their lives as the attack occurred and a family walking by took refuge in his shop, he added: “I didn’t look at the gunman’s face or whether he left on a motorbike or in a
car, I just remember I saw the weapon. I was in shock, I didn’t how to react.” Workers at a nearby beach bar and restaurant also told how how families with children took refuge inside after
the shooting started. One said: “I didn’t see anything because we focused on crouching down and staying safe, but it was a very frightening experience. Obviously all the customers we had
left as soon as it was safe to do so." Monaghan is identified as the owner of the bar in an online business directory. He was previously acquitted of the murder of infamous Glasgow
gangster Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll, who was brutally gunned down in a gangland execution in Asda Robroyston carpark in 2010. Monaghan stood trial for the murder but was cleared of all
charges in May 2012. He was also found not guilty of attempting to obstruct justice by disposing of the two firearms used in the shooting and setting the getaway vehicle ablaze. In August
2017, both Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr were acquitted of involvement in a savage street assault on three men outside the Campsie bar in Bishopbriggs. The brutal onslaught left one
victim's ear hanging off. The narcotics were reportedly swiped by imprisoned Edinburgh crime lord Mark Richardson's minions, sparking a wave of violent assaults on homes and
businesses. Mr Big, later identified as former Union Bears leader McGill, declared war on Richardson and his associates, including the notorious Daniels crime family in Glasgow. Mr
Big's henchmen, a faceless and terrifying group known as Tamo Junto (TMJ), have executed a series of arson attacks and other brutal assaults on homes, businesses and vehicles linked to
Richardson. Earlier this week, it was reported that a well-informed source claimed the Dubai-based Mr Big behind the attacks on Daniel targets, Ross McGill, had agreed to cease hostilities
after being pressured by cartel bosses in Dubai. However, the case fell apart when prosecutors dropped the charges against them after just two days of evidence. These shocking murders occur
amidst a violent gang feud that has been escalating in Scotland since March. Article continues below The feud initially ignited following a disagreement between rival gangsters after a £500k
cache of cocaine was allegedly nicked from Dubai-based kingpin, Ross McGill.
