A CUP FINAL TICKETS, A PROSTHETIC LEG AND PRICEY JEWELLERY ARE AMONG THE ITEMS TRAVELLERS HAVE LEFT BEHIND IN HOTELS - AND THEY ARE NOW TRYING TO REUNITE THEM WITH THEIR OWNERS SIAN HEWITT
20:25, 30 May 2025Updated 15:23, 31 May 2025 A fake leg, FA Cup Final tickets and a painting worth £10,000 were some of the bizarre items that have been left in hotel rooms. More than 600
items were left behind by dozy travellers in the last year - and some of the items were somewhat strange. Hyatt Hotels said they had discovered a number of strange and unusual finds left
behind in bedrooms long after people had departed. Among items include precious FA cup final tickets, a prosthetic leg and pricey jewellery. Other weird pieces include 20 traffic cones and
10 bishops cassocks being left in a room. In order to tackle the treasure trove of misplaced possessions left behind after hotel stays, Hyatt has introduced a ‘Finder Keepers’ service,
appointing a staff member from each site to reunite forgotten items with their owners. The new roles are now live at Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport, Hyatt Regency Manchester, and Hyatt
Regency London Stratford. Housekeeping Coordinator Regina Urban said: “One guest, rushing to catch a flight home to the US, left a cherished ring in the lobby bathroom - to her horror she
only realised it was missing mid-flight. Article continues below “Following an email to the hotel, I tracked down the ring, and made sure it found its way back to the guest as they landed in
New York. “Days later, a heartfelt message arrived from a hugely relieved guest Stateside - showing tearful gratitude for reuniting her with a priceless heirloom from her grandmother.
“Being an airport hotel means lost items often travel internationally. But nothing beats the joy of getting treasured belongings back where they belong.” Tales of jewellery - especially
rings - being reunited with their rightful owner have long warmed the heart. A couple who thought they had lost their engagement ring, found their "missing" engagement ring over
two decades after first losing it, in the u-bend of their toilet. A woman thought she had lost her wedding ring forever after it fell off when she was surfing, only for the ring to reappear
two months later - coincidentally on the couple's anniversary. Article continues below Jenny Urquhart took to social media in a frantic attempt to find the white-gold band and posted a
drawing of the ring with an appeal for anyone who found it to get in touch with her. Miraculously, a metal detectorist named Mark who had seen the appeal contacted her 11 weeks later - on
her anniversary - to inform her that he had found the ring. _FOR THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS AND STORIES FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE FROM THE DAILY STAR, SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTERS._
