'BIG' JOHN FISHER HAS AMASSED A HUGE INTERNET FOLLOWING THANKS TO HIS MAMMOTH WEEKLY CHINESE ORDERS, BUT HOW MANY COULD CRAIG GIBSON HAVE BOUGH AFTER SWINDLING £100K FROM THE GOVERNMENT? 14:00, 08 Mar 2025 A hungry fraudster was sentenced this week for swindling the government out of £100,000 of bogus Covid loans – and spending it on takeaways. Craig Gibson, 45, avoided jail on Monday as a judge at Liverpool Crown Court gave him a suspended sentence for falsely claiming to be making a turnover of nearly £1million as a property developer. Prosecutor Eve Slater said the money was "predominantly" spent at takeaways, DIY shops and service stations, the Liverpool Echo reported. His hearing came just days after internet sensation 'Big' John Fisher reeled off his legendary Chinese order to the nation at the Brit Awards on Saturday night. Which got your Daily Star thinking: How many of the influencer's whopping orders could you buy for £100,000? Article continues below HIS ORDER John, from Romford, East London, regularly posts videos of his takeaways on Instagram and TikTok, which often go viral because of their mammoth size. The father-of-four, known for his catchphrase 'Bosh', made a guest appearance at the Brits in which he told Jack Whitehall he'd put in the following belly-busting order: Special fried rice Chicken chow Mein Sweet and sour chicken balls Sweet and sour prawn balls Sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style Sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style Shredded chilli beef Beef in black bean sauce Salt and chilli king prawn Kung po prawn Salt and chilli chicken Barbecue spare ribs Chips Prawn crackers Curry sauce Spring rolls HOW MUCH WOULD THAT COST? Creature of habit John, dad of pro boxer 'The Romford Bull' Johnny Fisher, often orders from the Blue Orchid in his hometown. Your Daily Star has worked out that would be a whopping £124.30 if ordered from the takeaway menu with price list on their Facebook page. And with £100,000, you could order 804 of them, which should keep you going for 15 years if you ordered one every week. John has gained a massive following for his passion for Chinese food online, boasting more than half a million followers across different social media platforms. And his love of the takeaway has boosted business at the family-run eatery in Romford, with director Richard Man previously telling the Metro: ‘‘We’re quite well known in the area. I’ve seen three generations of John’s family. But since John got big on social media, our business has increased maybe 30-40%. "He’s put us on social media quite a bit on his podcast and all things like that, and it’s just just been really, really busy."
