RUBEN AMORIM INSISTED THERE IS NOTHING "HUMILIATING" ABOUT LOANING OUT MARCUS RASHFORD AS IT EMERGES MANCHESTER UNITED ARE EYEING UP TWO REPLACEMENTS INCLUDING A CHELSEA STAR
17:38, 02 Feb 2025Updated 17:39, 02 Feb 2025 Ruben Amorim insists he has no regrets about allowing Marcus Rashford to leave Manchester United to join Aston Villa on loan. Rashford is poised
to complete a move to Villa and bring an end to his United nightmare. The deal has been agreed and is expected to be confirmed on Monday. Rashford travelled to the Midlands on Sunday to
undergo his medical, and could make his debut in Villa's FA Cup clash with Tottenham this weekend. And even if Rashford proves a success at Villa Park, Amorim couldn't care less.
He said: "It not embarrassing. When you loan a player you expect him to play and improve, so there is nothing humiliating there. I understand the question but I am just focused on my
players." United, meanwhile, have completed the £30m signing of Denmark and Lecce wingback Patrick Dorgu. And the English giants are also closing in on a deal to sign Bayern Munich
winger Mathys Tel on-loan for the rest of the season. Article continues below But if it falls through, United will turn to Chelsea winger Christopher Nkunku instead. Rashford has not played
for United since December 15, after being exiled from their last 12 games. Amorim froze him out after taking exception to the player's poor training performances and attitude. Villa
have agreed to take Rashford, with an option to buy him at the end of the campaign. Villa will pay a minimum of 75% of Rashford's £350,000-a-week wages, with that figure potentially
rising to 90%, depending on performance-related bonuses. Those performance-related bonuses are understood to focus on appearances and goals, with Rashford having found the net just seven
times this season in 24 games. Article continues below Villa moved for Rashford after their forward Jhon Duran joined Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr in a £71million deal, leaving them light
on personnel up front. Unai Emery's side have also rejected a £60m bid from Arsenal for their striker Ollie Watkins, who got injured during his side's defeat to Wolves last
weekend. Rashford was keen to remain with a club in the Premier League or Europe, in a bid to win back his place in the England squad.
