EXCLUSIVE: ONE BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT ICON HAS SPOKEN TO DAILY STAR AND GIVEN SOME TIPS TO MUSIC MOGUL SIMON COWELL, INCLUDING HOW HE CAN MAKE THE SHOW BETTER FOR FUTURE CONTESTANTS

14:30, 31 May 2025Updated 14:31, 31 May 2025 A Britain's Got Talent legend has issued some advice to Simon Cowell. Paul Potts, who won the first ever series in 2007, has spoken

exclusively to Daily Star and revealed the changes he would make to improve the next series. Speaking on behalf of Sky Vegas, Paul told us: "I think they could make the show bigger, if

they had another proper stage in the competition." "They could make the standard higher and give people more. It would give people more visibility too and would be much better for

the acts. It would be great to have that back in the show to have some more of the fun things shown and show what the balance of the show really is – because you do get some wacky people

auditioning." "You’ve got to be careful how you pay them, but you could show a wider cross section of what the show attracts and the kind of talent that is out there." Potts

also admitted that there are some other big changes he'd like to see implemented in future series, particularly during the early audition episodes. Article continues below Paul

explained: "I wish they would go out into the communities again like they used to, rather than in one place. It’s a missed opportunity to find people off the street." "I did

just walk in but obviously applied before and I was not approached by anyone, you’re likely to pick up more people and more talent if you go to where people are." As for this

year's contestants, Paul hopes that either The Blackouts or Hear Out Voice will take home the crown as he predicts both will "be amongst the top two". The singer also said

that he enjoys watching the show as a "blast from the past". "It's over a much longer period now than when I was on the show. I did the show over nine consecutive days,

so it’s very different in some ways. It does bring back a lot of fond memories and I hope the show continues to go from strength to strength." Potts has also expressed interest in

appearing on BGT as a judge and told Daily Star he would "love to return". More specifically, Paul wants to make his comeback "during the 20th anniversary". "It

would be a great recognition to show how long the show has been going on for, how successful it is and how people have a huge career after the show." JOIN THE DAILY STAR'S WHATSAPP
