“recently tested positive for Covid-19, therefore he will not be hosting this week and will return on Monday, August 12.” . Scheduled guests this week include author Roxane Gay, actor,
former _Daily Show_ correspondent Ed Helms and comedian Hannah Berner. It was announced earlier this year that Stewart would return as host the Comedy Central late-night show one night a
week through the 2024 election cycle. Stewart hosts on Monday nights, with the rest of the week handled by its correspondents, who include Desi Lydic, Kosta and Ronny Chieng. His return came
eight years after he stepped down from hosting the show, which revolutionized late-night television and brought through the likes of Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, Samantha Bee and Steve
Carell. WATCH ON DEADLINE As part of his deal, Stewart also executive produces every episode of the show through 2025 to “shape” the next chapter of the franchise. His return reunites him
with showrunner and exec producer Jen Flanz, who started as a production assistant and has been with the show for more than 25 years. Stewart’s manager James “Baby Doll” Dixon also was
brought on as an exec producer. His debut episode in February scored the most-watched episode of the Comedy Central show in five years. It brought in 930,000 viewers, making it the
most-watched episode since 2018. Ratings have been up for the show for all five nights following his return.
