FORMED FROM STACKED CONCRETE CUBIC VOLUMES, THIS RESIDENTIAL PROJECT BY ARQMOV WORKSHOP IS LOCATED IN THE THE URBAN FABRIC OF THE COLONIA ROMA NORTE IN MEXICO CITY. the building is


configured using conceptual elements of public-private space and features 8 apartments, 2 town houses, 2 penthouses, a roof garden and 2 subterranean parking levels. the balconies and the


spatial configuration of the apartments are visible from the main façade all images © rafael gamo  ARQMOV WORKSHOP FOCUSED ON CREATING A SPATIAL PERMEABILITY BETWEEN THE SURROUNDING CONTEXT


AND THE BUILDING ITSELF. the result is an ‘urban pit stop’; this is a flexible space of public-private interrelationships, located a half-level below the sidewalk, and can become a gallery,


forum or place for interaction. furthermore, it can also be a communal area for the residents, and can be transformed into an exclusive space for gatherings. the overall finishes are exposed


to give an industrial character, with the main façade presenting pewter details and sliding panels of perforated laminate. the structure is based on metal columns that are painted black,


with exposed intermediate floors made of corrugated metal; the flat slab support system uses reinforced concrete which supports the ceiling. the main façade has pewter details and sliding


panels of perforated laminate the apartments have a linear spatial configuration, generating a sequence of interior cubes of light and natural ventilation across their inner walls. this


promotes views onto the streetscape and towards the inside and back cubes. the townhouses and penthouses have two levels, with two overlooking the street and two facing the rear light and


ventilation cubes, maintaining the spatial transition and revealing the indoor and outdoor environments. the roof garden has 6 private areas and a spa.  the ‘urban pit stop’ is a flexible


space of public-private interrelationships, located a half-level below the sidewalk a lattice wall of concrete runs on the side of the building the townhouses and penthouses have two levels,


with two overlooking the street a timber undulating bench is placed right outside of the building circulation the building consists of 8 apartments, 2 town houses, 2 penthouses, a roof
