widely regarded as the world’s most high profile charity watch event, MB&F IS ONCE AGAIN CONTRIBUTING A UNIQUE TIMEPIECE FOR THE BIENNIAL ONLY WATCH. as their four appearance at the

auction, with this year’s in aid of duchenne muscular dystrophy, the swiss brand’s special edition is tailored to elaborate the joys of childhood. it builds upon their ‘HM8’ watch, which was

influenced by the high-octance can-am racing series of the 1960s, with a lively illustration by cassandra legendre. all images courtesy of MB&F engraved and metallized on the sapphire

crystal pane that covers the engine, THE MB&F ‘HM8 ONLY WATCH’ FEATURES AN INTRICATE BUT SIMPLE DRAWING CREATED BY CASSANDRA LEGENDRE, a 15 year old student based in madrid, spain.

resonating with kids from across the globe, the illustration captures childhood objects of joy in a continuously drawn frame. this includes; a robot, jet plane, toy car, jellyfish, ice cream

cone, football, sunglasses, and a video game controller. towards the edge of the transparent cover, a double-screwed plate, which was originally engraved with the MB&F logo, has been

transformed with a white-gold disc that depicts a happy face. looking towards the opposite end of the illustration-engraved cover, the MB&F ‘HM8 only watch’ features a WHITE-GOLD

ELEPHANT UNDERNEATH THE RACING-INFLUENCED ROLL BAR. crafted by oliver kuhn and taking over 120 hours to complete, the micro-sculpture references the awe-inspiring animals that occupy

children’s literature, as well as their endangered title and our strive to protect them. placed on a similarly precious plinth, the beast required great care in creation. this is most

signified by its tusks, which measure 0.2mm in diameter, and the eyes, which measure 0.18mm in diameter. THE 2017 ONLY WATCH AUCTION, TAKING PLACE ON SATURDAY 11 NOVEMBER , IS HELD IN

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND. this year’s event is in aid of duchenne muscular dystrophy, a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration primarily affecting young boys.
