GoAir is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. GoAir is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The low cost airlines GoAir had sued its former Managing Director, Wolfgang
Prock-Schauer for stealing the airline's confidential data. Interestingly, it should also be noted that GoAir's ex MD, has left the firm in february this year to join India's
low cost airline, IndiGo. Prock-Schauer is being sued for allegedly stealing sealed documents belonging to GoAir, just after a week of joining rival IndiGo, a Mint report claimed quoting
the court documents. Below we have listed the details and other latest developments related to the controversy. 1. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer has been reportedly sued, as mentioned above by
GoAir for stealing relevant data before joining the airline's rival Indigo in February this year. Prock-Schauer became GoAir's CEO in 2015 and was its managing director from April
2016 to late 2017. 2. The report stated that that the GoAir lawyer has submitted sealed documents which he claimed belonged to the GoAir airline and were stolen by Prock-Schauer. According
to the order, which had been dated to February 13, Prock-Schauer’s lawyer said he would not “use and/or copy and/or publish and/or disclose any of the confidential information, trade secrets
and/or know-how belonging to GoAir”. 3. The report further claimed that on March 14, the court had allowed Prock-Schauer's lawyer to examine the documents on the condition, if they
would have been kept confidential. 4. According to the newspaper, at the last hearing on 27 April, senior counsel Janak Dwarkadas appearing for Prock-Schauer said, “During the last court
hearing, we parted with the belief that the petitioners wanted to settle the case but now the company don’t want to settle. If the company had indicated this earlier, we would have gone
ahead with the matter.” 5. Quoting an anonymous source, the report said that 'Wolfgang has not taken any confidential information; neither has he solicited anybody to join with
him'. 6. Prock-Schauer at Indigo takes care of flight operations, maintenance and engineering and inflight services directly as well as airport operations and operations control
centre. 7. Both the airlines had not reacted yet on the report. 8. The next hearing of the case would be heard on June 15. 9. Go Airlines (India) Ltd. is an aviation foray of the Wadia
Group. It operates under the brand GoAir. In November 2005, GoAir launched its operations as a low-fare carrier to commoditize air travel and offer airline seats at a marginal premium to
train fares across India. The airline currently operates over 230 daily flights and approximately 1600 weekly flights across 23 destinations. 10. IndiGo is India’s passenger airline with a
market share of 39.5% as of March, 2018. IndiGo primarily operates in domestic air travel market as a low-cost carrier.
