Sachin vs Lata Civil War seems to have rubbed some people the wrong way, but then what doesn't? Tanmay Bhat and Sachin Tendulkar We Indians seem to really lack a sense of humour and are
willing to take offence about anything. The latest incident to ruffle a few feathers seems to be comedian Tanmay Bhat whose jokes about Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar seems to have
rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. While people literally fell over themselves to pan AIB after their roast, following which to be fair, they really haven't been themselves anymore
(which might be because they've gone mainstream). In the video Tanmay face-swaps Sachin and Lata, and makes fun of their batting and the singer’s looks and even gets involved in a
verbal argument in the video. In the video Tanmay’s Lata claims that Virat was the better batsman while Tanmay’s Sachin makes fun of Lata’s Mangeshkar’s age. Tanmay had posted the video with
the caption: "Sachin vs Lata Civil War (I make such nonsense on my snapchat – follow me there – ID: Thetanmay) (Also I obviously love Lata and Sachin, just having some fun).
[sic]" And he added for good measure: "Yes, don't trust people who get super mad super easily." While last time around AIB faced a barrage of criminal cases than your
average, common or garden criminal, we will have to wait and see if the cops come calling again. Needless to say several Bollywood personalities were hurt by Tanmay Bhat’s jokes who deemed
it ‘insulting’, which is quite hard to accept considering the misogynist and outrageous stereotypes Bollywood has peddled over the years. Here’s what some of them tweeted: > I am 9
times winner of #BestComicActor. Have a great sense of humor. > But This's NOT humor. #Disgusting&Disrespectful > https://t.co/sTuTfbAOrU > — Anupam Kher (@AnupamPkher) May
29, 2016 And some would call his resolute defence of PM Modi better than those 9 awards. > Absolutely.. Shocked n appalled!! Not amused @mangeshkarlata ji > needs to be apologised to
.. NOW !! @rasheshshah > https://t.co/viTcXyBSI0 > — Celina Jaitly (@CelinaJaitly) May 28, 2016 > Am absolutely shocked. Disrespect is not cool and neither is it > funny.

women, children and pets. > Didn't know people will start getting offended from Snapchat Videos > too, this Tanmay Bhatt episode clearly showed us Indians are > catching up
> — Sand-d Singh (@Sand_In_Deed) May 29, 2016 > Saw the Tanmay Bhatt video on SRT & Lata. Not so cool I thought, but > why make a big deal and make him a star? He doesn't
deserve > attention > — K Sudarshan (@SudarshanEMA) May 29, 2016 Again, humour is subjective. Meanwhile, let's remember 'sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can
never hurt you'. > Happened to watch a part of a desperate and shameful attempt to be > funny by a wannabe comedian on @sachin_rt ji and @mangeshkarlata ji. > — Aaditya
Thackeray (@AUThackeray) May 28, 2016 > I don't comment on such issues bt ashamed tht sometimes we celebrate > below-mediocrity of desperate attempts, far from talent n mimicry
> — Aaditya Thackeray (@AUThackeray) May 28, 2016 > Having said that I obv love mimicry, cartoons, caricatures, > imitations! Only wish script was a little better to suit their >
persona n stature > — Aaditya Thackeray (@AUThackeray) May 28, 2016 A few voices of support: > Russel peters makes fun of Indians. > Indians: hahahaha excellent comedy.@thetanmay
makes fun of Indians. > Indians: kutte ki maut marega bc. > — Sanjay (@oothikicha) May 29, 2016 > Bro you're late for Grandmasti 3 shoot https://t.co/n8Qv9cxttW > — Karan
Talwar (@BollywoodGandu) May 29, 2016 > Criticise @thetanmay's humour all you want, but what is all this > idiocy about 'insulting national icons'? > — Suprateek
Chatterjee (@SupraMario) May 29, 2016 > RIP jokes. https://t.co/iznLZUk12V > — Sapan Verma (@sapanv) May 28, 2016 Check out Tanmay Bhat's epic response though >

'icons', the real problem will start if someone demands a ban. Check out the video below: > Roast wale din yaad aa gaye by god pic.twitter.com/VgEPkaZy9e > — Tanmay Bhat
