Our favourite _X-Man_ meets his maker, according to reliable sources. _Wolverine _aka James Logan Howlett will finally be killed off in a four-part Marvel limited series, appropriately

titled _Death of Wolverine_.  But really, the big questions on anyone familiar with the world of comic books is this: Will _Wolverine _actually die? And if he does, will he stay dead?

WOLVER...WHO? Wolverine made his debut as a Canadian secret agent with claws in an issue of _The Incredible Hulk_ in 1974. Since then, he's appeared in comics, cartoons and films.

Wolvie has proved unkillable for the most part - surviving everything from stab wounds to nuclear explosions thanks to his regenerative (healing) powers. But since being stripped of his

healing powers in the comic series last year, Marvel has set the stage for his eventual death.  IT HAPPENS... While most new fans of the character will no doubt mourn the 'loss' of

their beloved Logan, old-timers and die-hard fans feel it is too soon to shed a tear. A comic book death usually means a character could return by public demand. It isn't the first

time a character would have been killed off and then resurrected and it definitely won't be the last time you see it happen. A MATTER OF DEATH "Wolverine's been tested in the

past, and he's even come close to death on a few occasions. Back then he had his healing factor to pull him out of death's clutches, but now he's not so lucky," said the

publisher hinting at intentions to finally let Logan rest. Also, ComicBook.com reports that Spider-Man will soon step into Wolverine's shoes as headliner of "_Wolverine _& _The

X-Me_n." The new "_Spider-Man _&_ The X-Men_" series will debut in December, centering around _Spider-Man_ as the newest faculty member at the Jean Grey School: a

guidance counselor. And while the _X-Men_ may not be happy about his presence in the JGS's storied halls, they're definitely going to honour one of Wolverine's final request

before his death. HUGH... HE GOES? After playing the mutant character onscreen for 14 years and in seven different movies, Australian actor Hugh Jackman hinted that things may be about to

change. In one of his earlier interviews, he revealed that it's "inevitable" another actor will eventually take over as Logan. OTHER SUPERHEROES WHO DIED ONLY TO COME BACK
