Cops arrest two persons, rescue 4 girls who came from Mumbai. Vastrapur police on Saturday busted a high-profile inter-state sex racket in a posh locality in the area. The girls were called

from Mumbai and supplied to a network of clientele in Ahmedabad. Police have arrested two persons and rescued four girls in this connection. Acting on a tip-off, cops busted the network

through a decoy. Vastrapur police inspector MR Sharma told DNA that there was a tip-off that a group of people was involved in flesh trade in the locality. Sharma said, "We arranged a

decoy and called the pimp to supply girls at a specific location. They were brought in a Maruti van." As soon as they reached the spot, police arrested the pimp and the driver of the

van. The arrested have been identified as pimp Hasmukh Shah, resident of Navrangpura, and driver Vinod Sharma. Police have identified all the four girls who had come to the city from Mumbai

on 15-days tour. Sources said that for every 15-day tour, the girls were paid Rs30,000 and given a place to stay, apart from local logistics. "The girl has to cater to two to five

clients per day," the cop said. The pimp used to charge the clients somewhere between Rs2,000 and Rs20,000. Police have found that Shah was earlier arrested in a similar case in 2002

and was booked under the Prevention of Anti Social Activities (PASA) Act. Sources said that the girls were living in a bungalow in Gota area and were taken to specific locations once the

order was placed with the pimp.
