The patch up in the Yadav family came on Friday after Mulayam held discussions with brother Shivpal and son Akhilesh. Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh


Yadav gave back to Shivpal his portfolios on Saturday. Akhilesh gave his uncle all his previous portfolios except the PWD department and, additionally, gave him the medical education and


minor irrigation portfolios. Shivpal had resigned on Thursday night as a minister and as state party unit head. The patch up in the Yadav family came on Friday with Akhilesh announcing that


his disgruntled uncle will be given back his portfolios and that Gayatri Prajapati would be reinducted as Cabinet minister, two issues which had triggered an all-out war. The announcements


were made as per the compromise formula worked out by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav who asserted that "There can be no division in the party, till I am there." Mulayam 


had held discussions with brother Shivpal and son Akhilesh to calm the crisis within the party. Akhilesh said at a function that he had rejected the resignation of Shivpal and would comply


with whatever his father directs. Amid dharnas by Akhilesh's supporters calling for his reinstatement as the Samajwadi Party State President, ANI reported that Shivpal Yadav would


continue to be the party chief in UP. Supporters of Akhilesh Yadav staged a harna outside Mulayam Singh Yadav’s residence in Lucknow demanding his reinstatement. In Lucknow, supporters of


Shivpal and Akhilesh Yadav created ruckus outside Shivpal’s residence while in Allahabad his supporters carried placards saying, ‘Chacha ko hatao, SP ko bachao’. Meanwhile, Gayatri Prasad


Prajapati will be re-inducted in the Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Saturday. According to party insiders, Prajapati, who was sacked as Mines Minister, will be accommodated in the Cabinet but with
