The JDC has been monitoring the project to meet the deadline, which is showing good results Jaipur’s dream project Dravyavati river beautification is now progressing in the right direction.
The CM had given deadline of August 15, 2018. The JDC has been monitoring the project to meet the deadline, which is showing good results. This is the most ambitious project of the JDA. It
is the pet project of the CM who is keeping a close watch on it. Hence, the JDA is working on war-footing to complete it before the deadline. So far, Rs 800 crore has been spent and
transformation is visible at many places en-route 47km length of the river. JDC Vaibhav Galeria is visiting the entire site every week. He instructed Tata Company that work should not be
affected because of Holi festival on pretext of labour going on leave. The Tata group has increased its efforts after that. He has also asked chief engineer B D Sharma to conduct daily
meeting for monitoring the progress. It is because of daily monitoring that the JDA has avoided major controversies or problems. The JDC effectively handled farmers’ agitation. Though, JMC
is not very active and work is being affected at many places because of court stay but hopefully it would be resolved. THE PROGRESS SO FAR PITCHING WORK is complete 60%. SEWERAGE TREATMENT
plant work 70% complete. SEWERAGE AND DRAINAGE line work 80% complete. ALL THREE PARKS 70% work complete. To be finished by May. CEMENT CONCRETE lining 70% complete. PROBLEMS * JDA unable to
work full-time in cantonment. It has sought permission. * JMC has not removed illegal constructions in Durga colony, Hasanpura. No work in 300 metres. * Court stay at several places.
The work is affected.
