releasing a jazz record is all part of the journey.
Kerber recorded his first jazz album in 12 weeks at the tail end of 2015.
The album, Square One, was released in August this year, after eight months of mixing and mastering the record.
The album features Australian and Melbourne-based jazz artists that Kerber met through the Australian Institute of Music where he studied in 2015.
“It’s jazz but it’s not your typical 1920s old school jazz. It’s kind of a very contemporary sound,” Kerber said.
Kerber said it felt good to have his own record.
“It’s been pretty much a year-long process and I’m glad it’s finally out,” he said.
The Album features five songs and is available at Mojo Music, iTunes and his personal website.
