for the players to use the skills they have been working on for the past few weeks in a junior program hosted by the Northern Tasmanian Softball Association.
The games were played in good spirit against competitors of their own age, and the team enjoyed a day filled with exciting games.
The NTSA roster had all club teams playing each other, starting with the U15 competition were Eagles Gold played Eagles Blue in a great inter-club match which resulted in a seven-all draw.
Both teams displayed solid batting with Gold's Ruby Tatnell consistently putting safe hits into the diamond while Blue's Hayden Allen also batted well.
Zoe Henderson and Jess Manly showed some smart fielding.
In game two, Henderson and Manley combined as pitcher and catcher in their game against Saints.
Saints Joel Woolley, Lleyton Shipton, Jack Dutschke and Zac Finlay were their team's most consistent players with the bat.
However, Eagles Blue were too strong for Saints, winning 7-4.
Saints Men had a convincing win over Eagles 14-2, but Eagles’ Matt Tatnell found gaps in Saints outfield to secure several safe hits.
Eagles Blue defeated Eagles Gold 11-6 in the first of the senior women's games, while Saints Red were far too experienced and strong against their Saints White team winning 18-3.
The developing White team tried hard, but they were unable to stem the runs in the first innings and found they were playing catch-up softball.
