Police have issued a warning in Cleckheaton after children were seen climbing on a bridge and shop roofs. West Yorkshire Police say a number of children have been seen climbing over the

fencing on the greenway bridge in Westgate, Cleckheaton. They have then been seen climbing onto the roofs of local shops from the bridge. As a result of this, they are placing themselves in

danger due to the risk of falling. Officers said: "Not only are the children placing themselves in danger, there is a real potential for them falling to the busy road below, and also

for roofing tiles to become dislodged and fall onto a pedestrian or vehicle." "The dangers of climbing across this bridge and roof tops cannot be reiterated enough." West

Yorkshire Police have described this as anti-social behaviour and have issued a warning as to the danger. They said: "Over recent days several children have been seen climbing across

the fencing for the greenway bridge, Westgate, Cleckheaton. "They have been seen to clamber from the bridge onto nearby shop roofs, placing themselves in danger of falling." _GET
