Tributes have been paid to a teenage girl who fell into Baitings Reservoir after a body was recovered from the water. West Yorkshire Police, alongside the other emergency services, were


called to Baitings Reservoir near Ripponden on Wednesday, May 28. A 13-year-old girl had fallen from the dam into the reservoir. Sadly, after extensive searches by underwater police teams, a


body was recovered. The police have said that formal identification is yet to take place, but it is believed the body is of the girl, and her family have been informed. Now, people across


Yorkshire have paid tribute to the girl and her family. Detective Inspector Laura Hall commented: "While formal identification is yet to take place, the girl’s family have been informed


and are being supported by specially-trained officers. "My thoughts go out to her family and friends at this very sad time. Our enquiries are continuing into the death in order to
