West Yorkshire Police were called after a man concerned a number of women and girls in Dewsbury town centre. A shop worker called the force on Tuesday, June 3 and the Dewsbury Neighbourhood
Policing Team also became aware of a number of comments from other women and girls on social media saying they had also been approached.
A man, 24, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning. A police spokesman said: "A man has been arrested following reports of a man approaching a number of women and girls in
Dewsbury town centre and causing them concern.
"A town centre store employee reported her concerns to police on Tuesday afternoon (3 June) and also on social media. An investigation commenced and as a result a 24-year-old man was
arrested in the early hours of this morning and currently remains in custody.
