A crash on the M62 is causing traffic chaos after a lamppost fell across the carriageway.
The crash occurred near Ferrybridge Services, near Knottingley, off junction 33, on the M62 Eastbound exit slip road before 11am today (Wednesday, June 4). The slip road has been closed
while the situation is dealt with.
The lamppost has fallen across the lanes, blocking traffic attempting to leave the area. Queuing traffic has been forming along the motorway.
Traffic data site Inrix said: "M62 Eastbound exit slip road closed, queueing traffic due to accident at J33 A162 (Ferrybridge Services). A lamppost has fallen across the lanes too. Traffic
is queuing for the exit in lane one, but it is likely to be blocked by the post for a while."
