Huddersfield Town are reportedly plotting an ambitious raid for Nottingham Forest's chief football officer Ross Wilson. Wilson, who previously served as Rangers' sporting director,
joined the City Ground staff in April 2023, stepping in swiftly to fill the vacancy left by Filippo Giraldi's departure. Under his guidance, Forest have seen a significant upturn in
fortunes. The team is poised to return to European competition for the first time in 30 years, with Champions League qualification still within reach for Nuno Espirito Santo's squad.
TEAMtalk sources suggest that the Terriers are contemplating a "bold move" to secure Wilson's services, viewing him as a "statement addition" to spearhead their
ambitions of climbing back into the Championship. The Terriers are reportedly mulling over a senior role for Wilson, centred on enhancing the club's recruitment strategy. While no
formal proposal has been extended, TEAMtalk hints that Wilson is intrigued by the prospect of a return to the John Smith's Stadium, where he previously served on the board and was head
of football operations, reports Nottinghamshire Live. At Nottingham Forest, transfer dealings are a collaborative effort involving Wilson, global technical director George Syrianos, and head
of recruitment Pedro Ferreira. Forest have conducted some impressive business in recent transfer windows, reaping the benefits this season. Key signings such as Matz Sels (£5m), Nikola
Milenkovic (£12m), Murillo (£11m) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (£3m) were snapped up for bargain prices, while Ola Aina was a free acquisition. All have played crucial roles as Nuno's team
have competed at the top of the Premier League. Wilson has spent three-and-a-half years at Rangers, holding leadership positions at Southampton, Watford and Falkirk, as well as with the
Terriers. SUBSCRIBE TO THE HUDDERSFIELD TOWN NEWSLETTER Never miss a breaking story again. By subscribing to Yorkshire Live's HTAFC newsletter, you'll get daily updates with the
