The former EastEnders actress was pictured with dressings on her face while out with her son in London recently, prompting claims the star - whose septum once collapsed due to her previous
battle with drug use - had undergone surgery on her nose. The 43-year-old appeared slightly uncomfortable as she attempted to shield the area from onlookers behind her hand. A source told
The Sun: "She insists she is not back on drugs and has been suffering from septicaemia. "But pals are still very worried. She has been in a bad way for a few months, and has been
telling them that she's mentally 'f**ked'." The insider added: "Questions have also been asked about her nose. Some people suspect it has collapsed again."
Despite the accusations, a spokesperson for the star told Express.co.uk: "Danniella Westbrook has septicaemia caused by dental problems. "She is very unwell and has been in and
out of hospital several times over the last two months." They claim that steel rods placed in Danniella's gum have caused the infection and that the plaster - which locks in place
a sponge - is needed in her nose to stop the spreading. During an interview with the Daily Star last month, the former soap star said that she felt "broken" and "back to
square one" following a drug relapse.
