The 41-year-old Coronation Street actress has admitted that while her friend and co-star Alison King, who plays Carla Connor, helps her through tough scenes, despite the fact they will soon

become on-screen rivals. Michelle has been sleeping with Carla's son, Ali Neeson (played by James Burrows) and the sordid affair is about to be exposed this week. Kym divulged: “Even

when we we have fraught scenes, we always have a lot of fun on set. “Long scenes can be emotionally draining and it helps to have a friend there to lift your spirits - Ali and I love working

together.” Kym also reflected on the upcoming storyline and gave her opinion on what she would feel if it happened in her real life. “I’d kick right off if the same thing happened with

David [Kym’s 22-year-old son],” she told OK! magazine. The brunette, who joined the soap in 2006, also revealed that she isn’t bothered about not being up for a gong at this year’s British

Soap Awards, but praised her nominated co-stars including Lucy Fallon, 22, who plays Bethany Platt. She spilled: “I’m chuffed to see that so many of my Corrie pals are in the mix. “To see

little Lucy Fallon up for Best Actress again is wonderful. Bhavna [Limbachia] is also up for for the award and she’s a sweetheart.” Kym also praised her co-star Catherine Tyldesley and

Shayne Ward for their nominations, despite them set to leave the soap later this year. “I didn’t mind at all that I wasn’t on the list - you can’t always be!" she told the publication.

Meanwhile, the actress addressed her co-star Kate Ford’s recent Twitter spat with one of her followers who claimed she needed to have botox. The social media user uploaded a picture of the

Tracey Barlow actress, 40, and insisted she needed surgery, but Kate hit back at the user in which she refused to name and shame, but wrote that they did “women a disservice”. Addressing the

tweet, Kym said: “It was so mean and I do wonder why some women are intent to dragging other women down when we should be supporting each other." She added: “We need to get over this

idea that having wrinkles is a bad thing. I’m in my forties and I have wrinkles so what?” Last week, Kym also addressed a fan’s “inappropriate” actions after her Corrie co-star Georgia

Taylor, who was asked for a selfie in the doctor’s surgery. Georgia, 38, who plays Toyah Battersby, was branded “rude” by a stranger when she refused to have a photo while waiting for a

doctor’s appointment last week. Speaking about her co-star’s encounter, she said: “Sometimes everybody needs a bit of privacy, particularly if you’re somewhere like the doctors!” Reflecting

on her own awkward experience, she continued: “I was at a friend’s funeral not long ago and I was asked for a selfie during the wake! “I didn’t even have a moment to say no as the person had

jumped in and snapped the picture before I’d even got over the shock of how inappropriate it was!” _CORONATION STREET CONTINUES TONIGHT AT 7:30PM AND 8:30PM ON ITV._ _READ KYM’S COLUMN IN
