German paper says they envy us, they know there is no hope with EU in charge CAROLE MALONEDONT you wake up some days and think Thank God for the Queen? She might be 94 but she still gets it. She gets when its the right time to speak out and when its not. And this week she decided it was time to tell those still refusing the vaccine to stop being so selfish and think of others. She said it nicely of course, but the message was clear. But hey, Mrs Merkel needed to support her halfwitted compadre, Emmanuel Macron, who rubbished the A/Z vaccine when he and the combined might of the EU were unable to commandeer (steal) our supplies of it last month.So, because HE couldnt have it, this poisonous little twerp told the world it was useless. Although he wasnt saying that when he was trying to get his grubby paws on it.The upshot is no one in France wants the AstraZeneca jab either. Less than 10 percent of the population has been vaccinated and a third wave seems inevitable there too. So she announced that Prince Charles and Princess Anne had been vaccinated. It made headlines at the time because it was one of the few public interventions the Queen, who as head of state is supposed to remain politically neutral, had made during her reign.What she did back then was seen as a big deal. As is what she did this week, because unlike Macron and Merkel, the Queen has never been about personal ambition - only the greater good.So, at times like these, yes, we should thank God for the Queen, whose priority is, and always has been, the British people. But also for the fact weve now left the EU. Imagine where wed be now if we were still taking orders from those incompetent, ineffective, unelected clowns in Brussels.As Germans biggest selling newspaper Bild said on its front page this week: Dear Brits - we envy you.
