Furlong took part in a Terminator reunion panel on Sunday at Silicon Valley Comic-Con. There the ArnoldFans asked him about his upcoming role in Terminator Dark Fate, which he was pretty
tightlipped on. Furlong said: “I’m not allowed to say ANYTHING. “Um, but yeah, yeah man, I mean it’s a small role but it’s, you know, I’m in there, man! I’m in there.” The actor also
expressed his gratitude for his return, especially as he’s been trying to get his life back on track. Furlong continued: “It was like a blessing man. “I was very excited you know, like
really uh, yeah I was trying to turn my life around at that point – so I mean it was uh, it was kinda a good call to get, you know? “It kinda felt like a gift from all that you know, plus I
was supposed to do the other Terminator but I done f***ed that s*** up.” He added: “So I gotta tell you, I was proud [for Dark Fate]. I’m glad to be back on it, I’m really, really happy to
be doing it.” In terms of John Connor’s importance, the first Terminator movie (The Terminator) saw the T-800 travel back in time to murder his mother Sarah before he’s even born. While an
adult John sent one of his soldiers Kyle Reese back to protect her and in the process fall in love with her and turn out to be John’s father. Then Terminator 2 saw John as a teenage boy,
with Sarah and a new friendly T-800 working to protect him from another Terminator. Now Terminator: Dark Fate sees Furlong’s John all grown up, but it’s unclear if he’s leading the human
resistance or if Sarah really did change time at the end of Terminator 2 when she destroyed Cyberdyne. _TERMINATOR: DARK FATE IS RELEASED IN UK CINEMAS ON OCTOBER 23, 2019._
