been claimed. High blood pressure - which is also known as hypertension - puts extra stress on blood vessels and vital organs. The condition could lead to some deadly complications,
including strokes and heart attacks. It's crucial that your hypertension is diagnosed as soon as possible. One of the key warning signs of high blood pressure is developing a flushed

can occur unpredictably or in response to certain triggers such as sun exposure, cold weather, spicy foods, wind, hot drinks and skin-care products. "Facial flushing can also occur with
emotional stress, exposure to heat or hot water, alcohol consumption and exercise — all of which can raise blood pressure temporarily. "While facial flushing may occur while your blood
pressure is higher than usual, high blood pressure is not the cause of facial flushing." You could lower your risk of high blood pressure by eating a healthy, balanced diet, and by
doing regular exercise. High blood pressure is often known as ‘the silent killer’, because symptoms only tend to reveal themselves if you have extremely high blood pressure. It’s crucial
that all adults over the age of 40 check their blood pressure at least once every five years. You can check your blood pressure by visiting your local doctors’ surgery or pharmacy.
