The sky is totally different from how it looked when the Babylonians invented the twelve signs nearly 3,000 years ago. A new star sign called Ophiuchus has been discovered - and the shocking

path of the sun in twelve equal parts of 30 degrees each. The study of the relationship between these constellations’ placements in the sky and the movement of the sun is what birthed the

twelve signs. The Babylonians noted the constellation of Ophiuchus, the new sign, but it was too complicated to fit into their neat theory. But this means we might have all been reading the

The zodiac dates have changed in order to fit the 13th sign into the year. The new sign slots in between Scorpio and Sagittarius, meaning every other sign needs to shift to make room for

it.You will notice that Virgo has a much longer period than thought, and Scorpio is only assigned a week.A NASA spokesman said: “The line from Earth through the sun points to Virgo for 45

days, but it points to Scorpius for only seven days.“To make a tidy match with their 12-month calendar, the Babylonians ignored the fact the sun actually moves through 13 constellations, not

12.”
